Everyone who has ever laid eyes on a horse knows that deep inside these magnificent creatures is something precious and beautiful, some might say even magical. In his book, appropriately titledThe Soul of a Horse author Joe Camp writes about his experiences discovering the inner beauty of horses.

Joe Camp is famous for writing and producing the much loved Benji movies, and now he has produced another masterpiece in The Soul of a Horse. In this book Camp shows us horses for what they really are, not what we want them to be, or what we have tried to make them be. He also shows us how we can get to know them, understand them and form meaningful deep relationships with them.

The book focuses on the natural needs and desires of horses, which are often very different from what we would expect them to be. Camp tells the story of how he acquired, and got to know each of his horses, as well as how he learned what was best for them. Camp's sense of humor, and great story telling ability make the book hard to put down. The stories he tells are sometimes heartwarming, sometimes humorous and sometimes both. The Soul of a Horse is a must read for horse enthusiasts and animal lovers alike.
